Alex Michanol Photography
Born in Madagascar, raised in Paris, France, Alex Michanol discovered photography at the age of 13 when photographer Francisco Hidalgo came to his school as lecturer. Spent a semester at the American Center of Paris taking a portrait photography course led by Scott Mac Leay at the age of 15.
In order to have a better understanding of the world, he studied Geography at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University. At the age of 25 he had the great opportunity to work as a photo assistant for the best fashion photographers in the famous parisian Pin-Up Studios.
Independent professional photographer for 4 years, working for photo agency, people and press magazines, SYGMA, Madame Figaro, VSD, Rock & Folk and Architects Chemetov.
At 30, selected by the Club des Directeurs Artistiques de Paris for a solo exhibition of his work on rockabilly weekenders.
To finance his personal projects, he joined Lighthouse Production in Paris as a photo producer.
Having already gained the trust of many of the photographers he had worked with, his team management and organization skills led him to handle major worldwide productions as a line producer for 3 decades.
Lecturer at the Speos Photographic School in Paris, he shares his experience in the photo industry with aspiring photographers.
